Procure Cancer Foundation: This foundation provides grants to those receiving proton treatment

National Childrens Cancer Society:  Includes free webinars, newsletters and info on scholarships. Be sure to check out the free publications.  Top notch!

National Cancer Institute (NCI):  Part of the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute is the agency for cancer research and training.  This site provides information on treatment plans for each type of cancer (called protocols), clinical trials, literature and much more.

American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO):  This foundation was started by parents of children with cancer and has a ton of information.  The organization understands cancer is a disease for life.  You'll find many free publications for cancer families. Other services include affiliate newsletters, ACCO e-bulletin called "The Grassroots", family events, in-hospital parent advocate, support group meetings, new diagnosis comfort kits and emergency financial assistance.  An extensive list of information.

OncoLink:   Another top notch cancer site and features "OncoPilot" to help those newly diagnosed, navigate the myriad of cancer treatments available.  It provides downloadable logs to help keep you organized, blogs, web chats, and much more. 

Curesearch:  A non-profit foundation focused on funding and supporting children's cancer research while managing Children's Oncology Group (COG).  COG is the "largest cooperative research entity" and along with 6,500+ physicians, nurses, other researchers, and hospitals as members of COG, treat 90% of the children in the US.  Most Pediatric Oncologist are members of COG.

Proton Bob's Site:  The Original advocate for prostate cancer and proton treatment and their members are known as "the brotherhood of the red balloon".

Proton Pals:    A support and outreach group formed by MD Anderson Prostate Cancer patient survivors.  A support system to share anecdotes, individual experiences and side effects.  

The Lance Armstrong Foundation:  Provides great info for all types of cancer and all ages.  Sign-up for a free notebook to help you track the cancer treatment.  We think it is awesome! 

Camp Sunshine:  Our favorite camp is located in beautiful Casco, Maine.  It's a wonderful camp for the entire family and children can attend while still in treatment because they have onsite medical services.  

Cure Magazine:  From Cure Today, this magazine is free to all cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.  Sign up for a subscription and read discussions on new cancer treatments and research results.

HairClub for Kids:  A Charitable Foundation for Kids with HAIR LOSS. In 1992, Hair Club founded a non-profit organization to provide free hair restoration for children battling hair loss as a result of illness.  Hair Club understands the importance of self-confidence at an early age. These solutions allow children the confidence to maintain an active and exciting life.   AND IT'S FREE for any child between the ages of 6-17!

Association of Cancer Online Resources:  ACOR provides access to over 150 mailing lists which provide support, information and community to anyone affected by cancer and related disorders.

The National Association for Proton Therapy (NAPT):  Provides lots of information on each proton center, as well as numerous resources for patients including insurance strategies when going for proton therapy.

CancerCare:  provides free professional support for anyone affected by cancer. 

Make-a-Wish Foundation: Grants wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.

I'm Too Young For This (also known as stupidcancer.com): - A support site for young adults (15 to 40) who are fighting cancer, who are cancer survivors or who are caring for someone with cancer.  Pretty cool. 

People Against Childhood Cancer:  A site dedicated on being an advocacy community to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Join their fight! 

Caringbridge and Carepages:    A site which provides a place to post updates about your child for your family and friends.  It has a place for pictures and a nice guestbook feature for friends and family to show their support.

CareCalendar:  Web based system to organize meals and other help for families during a time of illness or life changing event.  Great Way to stay organized and get the help you need from those offering.
