If things turn ugly with the insurance company:

Find Out the Name of the Medical Director

"May I please find out the name of the Medical Director that is reviewing my child's case?"

It may be possible for your oncologist or the proton center staff to connect with the Medical Director and provide more information or a "plan of care" that will describe how proton fits into the overall treatment plan.

Consider Legal Assistance

"I may need to consider legal assistance for expediating my claim.  May I please have the names and titles of all employees responsible for denying my child's claim?"
