Kid Friendly Places to Stay

Places to Stay During Treatment:

One recommendation is to look into furnished apartments that allow a month to month basis depending on your budget. These types of apartments or condos are usually close by the proton centers and work with the patients on their duration needs. Most centers will give out the names and numbers of these apartments and condos upon request.  You can also use Joe's House.

Joe's House is a nonprofit organization providing a nation-wide online service that helps cancer patients and their families find lodging near treatment centers. You may begin your search for lodging by selecting a state using the drop down box on the right. Or use the LODGING tab to search for housing by either city, or treatment center.  Joe's House feels that patients deserve an accommodation expert to help them with their travel needs. We list various types of lodging throughout the United States. Details on each lodging facility are available with information on amenities, rates, and reservation methods and requirements.

Also, there may be Ronald McDonald house(s) nearby some of the centers.  Below are some links from the proton centers web sites of accommodations which may be helpful when seeking temporary housing during treatment at any of the locations.
