How to make this nightmare a radiation vacation?!?

Each proton center is located near a major metropolitan area.  Bad news - traffic.  Good news lots of things to do nearby!   When your child is feeling good and blood levels permit take them out to explore.  Let your child and family feel normal and part of a "radiation vacation".  If you are worried crowds, then plan to go to attractions on nonpeak times.  You can always call and ask or call ahead and explain your special situation.   

We have found that each proton center has links for nearby attractions and things to do.  You can also ask your proton treatment staff what they recommend since they live there.
